New Client’s A Real Sweetie for Motive
The team at digital PR agency Motive has opted for pick and mix rather than champagne to toast their latest client win – the UK’s leading confectionery wholesaler Hancocks.
The Nottingham based agency has been appointed to support Hancocks on a wide-ranging national marketing campaign following a competitive pitch.
Hancocks is the UK’s leading wholesaler of confectionery, sweets and chocolates with a network of wholesale outlets across the UK all managed from a head office located in Loughborough.
Motive will be helping with brand building PR in both trade and consumer facing media as well as providing a digital PR service to win online coverage and links into Hancock’s new e-commerce website.
The new brief is the latest in a series of new client wins for the Lenton agency which specialises in e-commerce and digital PR.
Motive MD Steve McComish said he felt like Charlie Bucket in Roald Dahl’s famous novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory after winning the Hancocks account.
He said: “Being asked to handle the comms for the UK’s leading confectionery wholesaler is about as close asI’m likely to get to being asked to PR Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.
“For a team of sweet-tooths and chocoholics this really is a dream client. Walking around Hancock’s massive wholesale outlet in Loughborough I really did feel like a kid in a sweetshop.
“We can’t wait to get our teeth into this one and are already planning some tasty marketing campaigns. It’s a really sweet client to be working with.”
He said that with the Motive team currently all working from home due to Covid restrictions the celebrations had been a little different.
“We normally pop open a bottle of bubbly or two when a new client comes in but this time it felt more appropriate to celebrate with a bag of pick and mix sent to the team at home.”
