It was a big day for the agency yesterday when Motive was named Small PR Consultancy of the Year 2021 when we scooped the coveted Gold award at the CIPR Pride Midlands Awards.
The CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) is the UK's industry body for the PR sector so their recognition is very pleasing. It means our work has been judged by a panel of industry experts from across the UK and found to be of the highest standard.
Winning this award is hugely exciting for me but it's a credit to the whole team for the amazing work they do here at Motive day in and day out.
The win is also a reward for the big step we took when we decided to rebrand the agency two years ago and relaunch with a new focus on digital PR and link acquisition as well as media relations and content marketing. It was a decision which has paid off for us and which was cited by the CIPR judges as one of the main reasons for our win.
Brave and determined
A spokesman for the judges said: "Motive stood out for their brave and determined decision to rebrand as a digital agency with a clear value proposition within e-commerce.
"This ambitious move has resulted in exceptional growth, growing their team and exceeding their financial targets which points to a team that is flourishing despite the backdrop of a global pandemic.
"Incredibly, they have also found the time to support charitable causes and give back to their local community. Their breath of fresh air campaign was a standout piece of work and a highly creative response to a challenging brief. Fun, original, high impact and conversation making – it had everything you would want from a campaign and more and crucially generating a strong ROI for the client."
