It's been a strong start to 2023 at Motive with results now in for the first quarter of the year.
We measure all our outputs and results which is great for client reporting and also allows us to track our own progress.
During 2022 we delivered 14,259 links for clients along with 11,290 items of media coverage. It worked out at an average of 475 links for every client we worked with during the year – or almost 40 a month.
It was the best year we had ever had and the first time the team had smashed the 1,000 a month barrier across a calendar year so naturally we were incredibly proud to share Our Review of 2022.
Three months into 2023 and we are continuing our upward momentum with the results continuing to get better and better.
From 1 January to 31 March 2023 we have delivered 5,730 links for clients – that’s 1,910 per month. If we can continue this level of success, we will easily exceed last year’s total of 14,259. Not only that, if we carry on at this rate, we will smash through the 20,000 links milestone which would be amazing.
Of course, it’s not only about quantity it is also about quality, which is why we only target sites with a DR above 30. We have built some awesome links across the quarter including links from BBC news and other sites with high DR including Huff Post, Lad Bible, Real Homes, The Grocer, Forbes and hundreds more.
We have also delivered 4,297 items of media coverage during the first quarter of 2023 – an average of 1,432 per month, again far outperforming last year’s average of 941.
These are industry leading results but what is even more amazing is that we’re doing this with a small team (currently 11 people).
How come our results are better than other agencies with much larger teams? It all comes down to journalistic skill, news sense, creativity and the experience of our team. Hard work and determination also play a huge part.
We’re really proud of the work we’ve been doing this year – check out our work page for the most recent examples and download our Greatest Hits document for some further insights and digital PR inspiration.
We’ll be updating this page throughout the year to share our progress as 2023 continues.
