It‘s common knowledge Premier League football players earn a phenomenal amount of money, but the glamorous WAGs by their side are also in demand when it comes to brand collaborations.
The wives and girlfriends of our top players often become stars in their own right and many can command large fees as social media influencers.
Now Motive has compiled the ultimate WAG Influencer Index - revealing which of the current crop of WAGs could have the most appeal to brands.
This is all strictly our own opinion. The team at Motive analysed the WAGs Instagram profiles and metrics to find out how much we think brands could be willing to pay for a single sponsored post.
To be absolutely clear: we are not claiming these ladies are currently charging for posts. We are merely looking at how much brands might be willing to pay if the WAGs did decide to do sponsored posts.
We analysed the social media following of the WAGs of the top 25 highest-paid Premier League players this season. Only current partners of players with a public Business or Creator Instagram account were included.
We looked into their engagement rate, following and potential post reach to reveal which WAGs have the most social media success and how much we think brands might be willing to fork out for a sponsored post.
Focusing on the partners of the highest paid players in the Premier League meant our biggest clubs dominate the index with no less than four WAGs from the ranks of Manchester United and three from their Man City rivals. There are also three WAGs with partners playing for Arsenal, along with one each from Chelsea and Newcastle United.
In our opinion brands could be willing to pay thousands for a single sponsored post with many of the wives and girlfriends.
Melanie da Cruz, wife of Manchester United football star Anthony Martial, tops our index. With an Instagram following of over 4.7 million, we think the French TV star could potentially make more than £20,000 for a single sponsored post.
Next comes Michèle De Bruyne, married to Man City star Kevin De Bruyne. She regularly shares heartwarming family snaps on her Instagram account and has racked up over 500,000 followers.
With her following and posts potentially reaching over 130,000 people, we think brands could be willing to pay more than £4,000 for a single Instagram collaboration.
Manchester United star Casemiro's glamorous wife Anna Mariano has over 490,000 Insta followers and we think she could command more than £3,500 for a sponsored post, while Raiane Lima, the girlfriend of Arsenal ace Gabriel Jesus could earn £3,000 for a post.
The long-term girlfriend of Manchester City and England Superstar Jack Grealish, Sasha Attwood, regularly shares stunning selfies and snaps with her 265,000 followers.
We estimate the model and influencer, who works with multiple high-profile labels, could make close to £3,000 per collaboration post.
Other WAGs of England footie stars, including Paige Milan, wife of Raheem Starling, could potentially bag a grand for a collab, while Declan Rice's childhood sweetheart Lauren Fryer could make hundreds for a post even though she currently has no posts or engagement on her account.
How we did it:
Motive analysed the social media following of the WAGs of the top 25 highest-paid Premier League players in 2023-24.
Only current partners of players with a public Business or Creator Instagram account were included.
All values are estimates of how much we think brands might be willing to pay for a single sponsored post on Instagram.
