Summary
We’ve been working with the UKs leading confectionery wholesaler Hancocks for two years supporting their online offering for trade customers and its 14 depots dotted across the UK. The Loughborough based business has been around for over 60 years with more than 25,000 customers and 300 suppliers from around the globe.
Prior to our trade PR campaign and post Covid, the company had seen a fall in footfall in store but had seen considerable growth in the e-commerce platform both for direct deliveries and click and collect.
Results
Over the last two years, we’ve worked with Hancocks to raise brand awareness, increase brand loyalty and encourage lapsed and new customers back to store and to the website.
We achieve regular coverage in their key trade titles including Retail News, Convenience Store and Asian Trader, championing new product development, partner brands, seasonal campaigns and offering commentary from key players within the business.
We also work closely with the stores to identify good stories to help them raise their profile locally.
During their 60th anniversary year (2022) we ran a 12 month campaign starting with the first of fourteen 60th anniversary events at their Loughborough store in February.
The result? Fourteen competitive stores hungry for media coverage, engaged with PR activity and enjoying celebrating the big birthday with their teams and customers new and old.
Coverage included major trade titles, regional press which helped reach a wider audience and TV and radio coverage including ITV Central News.
